Experience That Goes Deeper

Many nonprofit consultants built their expertise inside large institutions — universities, hospital systems, and national organizations. That experience is real and valuable. The challenge is that small and mid-sized nonprofits operate in a fundamentally different environment — tighter resources, smaller teams, and challenges that require a different kind of advisor.

Lori McCleese spent 25 years building that different kind of expertise. As a two-time nonprofit CEO, she led organizations through the exact challenges her clients face today — without a large team, a built-in donor base, or an institutional brand to rely on. She also brings something most nonprofit consultants don't: a successful business career spanning global supply chain management and banking leadership, where she coached teams and managed eight-figure budgets. That combination — nonprofit executive plus business leader — gives her a perspective that is genuinely rare in this market.

Lori is based in the Atlanta metro area and has spent much of her career working with nonprofits in Ohio — two states she knows well, with a willingness to go wherever the right project lead.

LMC Nonprofit Solutions was built for organizations that are ready to do more than survive. If you're ready for a consultant who has lived it, led it, and knows how to move you forward — you're in the right place.

IS LMC right for your organization?

LMC specializes in small and mid-sized nonprofits — organizations that are doing important work and ready to build the infrastructure to sustain it.

If any of these sound familiar, let's talk:

  • Your fundraising is reactive — you're making asks when money gets tight instead of working a year-round plan.

  • You have donors but no real system to cultivate, segment, or retain them.

  • Your organization has grown but your operations, policies, and processes haven't kept pace.

  • You're navigating a leadership transition and need steady, experienced support.

  • Your board wants to help with fundraising but doesn't know how.

  • You know something needs to change— but you're not sure where to start.

LMC is not the right fit for every organization — and that's okay. The clients who get the most out of working with LMC are who are ready to engage, roll up their sleeves, and build something that lasts.
